Located next to the Stillwater River in downtown Orono, this inn features free Wi-Fi and a seasonal outdoor heated pool with bar service. A private balcony, small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and satellite TV are found in each spacious room of the University Inn Academic Suites. Wake-up service, ironing facilities, and air conditioning are also included. Canoe and kayak rentals are offered at the University Inn and can be launched from its dock. Guests have access to the on-site fitness center. Shuttle service to the University of Maine is available while school is in session. A hot breakfast buffet is served at the inn each morning, while a complimentary wine and cheese reception is offered daily from 17:00 to 18:00. The Fay Hyland Botanical Garden is a 12-minute walk from the University Academic Suites. The Maine Center for the Arts is less than 1.5 miles away.
