A Classic New England Town House
Located on the east bank of the tidal Kennebunk River, the William Jefferds House is a two-hundred year old mansion that encapsulates historic New England townhouse architecture. Originally owned by prominent shipbuilder William Jefferds, the three story Federal-style mansion is furnished with heirloom-style sofas and chairs mixed with stylish coastal decor. The inn offers 16 rooms categorized as private suites, studios and terrace accommodations. Certain rooms feature original tin ceilings, authentic wide plank pine floors, and canopy beds. All provided with personalize concierge services.
Beyond the gracious hospitality, guests enjoy complimentary breakfast, free WiFi throughout the property, fireplaces, private terraces and suites. The gardens around the property are immaculately kept and those looking to venture further affield can help themselves to complimentary bicycles and beach chairs. Additional amenities include working fireplaces in almost all rooms, individually-controlled heat and AC modules, mini fridges and EV charging stations for your vehicle. A golf course is also located nearby.
The William Jefferds House is part of the Captains Collection of Inns, which also includes the Nathaniel Lord Mansion, James Fairfield House and Acton Patterson House. Booking is done through the collection's main site where guests can then choose individual houses and subsequent rooms to suite their preference.
